I have a Snap-On YA434B Blast cabinet. It has some issues I'm looking to resolve.

Here is a random internet pic for reference.

I was wondering if anybody else had one and if they did have you made any upgrades. The biggest issue that I'm fighting is that blast media sort of sticks to the sides and doesn't fall to the bottom. Every few minutes I shut the thing off and brush the media down to the bottom. Eventually I want to upgrade the dust collection and change over to a foot pedal operated gun.

I bought a media shaker from TP Tools a few months ago and it was a great upgrade!! The days of stopping to smack the hopper a few times are gone. If I remember right, it was $89. It bolted right up to my 5' Skat Blast with the included bracket and hardware. Highly recommended!

Mount a cheap air hammer to the hopper and hook it up to a foot pedal to rattle the hopper when needed. You already have an air supply for it. Regulate it to get the vibes you want.

I mounted a full sized pavement breaker jack hammer onto the side of a huge hopper at a factory once. Welded a thick plate onto the hopper with a cut off bit shank welded to it. The jack hammer was applied to the bit, then two chains went upward and outward to support the hammer at the handle grip ends. This placed the hammer at a 45degree angle to the ground about 6 feet up. The operator just gripped the handles and pulled the trigger when needed to break the dry goods loose in the hopper. Loud, but worked well. They were previously beating the hopper with a sledgehammer.

Keep it full of sand, put an extra dryer on it, dust collection on the big one I used to use was just positive pressure (half open 2" line) blowing around a trap at the top and out two ac style filters. It has an air driven bowl ********. It was a 4 foot cube, I climbed in to service.

You need a lot of air to do a good job. No idea what specs were on that one, but there were 10 mechanics and 8 machinists and the compressor was as big as a suburban.

For air, I have plenty. I have a 120 gallon double compressor. There is a cooler/condenser just after the compressor then a filter down the wall about 60 feet away. Another filter is mounted on the cabinet.

Anyone have any idea if parts are available for this model?
https://americanhawkindustrialproducts.com/ This is the place to get Snap-on blaster replacement parts from the source. I was looking for a vacuum dust bag for my snap-on and from the information in this forum I contacted Dee blast, who makes the cabinet, now American Hawk Industrial products. I talked with India, she was very helpful in tracking down parts. At the Snap-on site a Vac. bag was $450...I ordered one for $79 from AHIP.
Remember these cabinets are just vessels. You can customize to your liking. I ordered a TP tools foot pedal and pickup tube for mine. Then contacted a glass shop and ordered safety glass from them for about the same price as OE replacement.
