Well I was right when I told the guys at work why the SO corporate guy came through and took head count. The new dealer came in today and I asked him if he has ANY BOGO deals going on and he said not since August.:headscrat but he had a few things left over on top of a roll cab.

I found a set where you buy a set of 1/4 deep sockets and get TWO free ratcheting screwdrivers (or so it said on the box) I asked him what the price was and he said $322 I said that set of sockets does not cost THAT much. He said they did.

So was he being a **** or did he just give me total of the items in the package? (since there isn't any BOGO deals atm) even though it said so right on the box.

i bought that same set a couple months back im sure it was less then that. i was to say around 230. the sockets themselves was the price of the set and you get the others for free.

good deal i needed the drivers more then the sockets but i got em all now lol.

maybe he is saving them for customers he is familiar with? Seems from the sound of things some drivers don't like new customers until they have spent cash

If someone could get me an exact price they paid or even a picture of a receipt would better. Supposedly he will be here every Monday unlike the other guy (once a month maybe?) Just looked him up on facebook and I guess he is the old dealers SON:willy_nil

hes a Independent tool franchise he doesnt have to go by list price or suggested retail, Im surprised he didnt break open the packages

Maybe someone else really thinks they are getting a good deal? :lol_hitti
and to be honest I really don't need anything at the moment so the only thing I am interested in is BOGO deals.

ill look for my invoice and see if its on there. otherwise all i would do is look up the socket set online and go from there.

i know that the price was just the sockets and the drivers were free, im fairly sure it was right around $230 though. the drivers are worth $160 new togther when i bought the BOGO. IIRC.

Sounds like you have a ******** SO dealer. When the SO dealer here started I didnt buy anything from him for about 6 or 8 months. Brought him a box of tools from a buddy that doesnt have a SO dealer. He warrantied all of it with out the first complaint. He is the best tool dealer I have ever bought from.

Read the front of the BOGO package, says "buy 1/4 metric deep set, receive two ratcheting screwdrivers free." Run the socket set part no. and that's the msrp. It's his truck and he runs the show, worst case call him out on it and see if he wants your business.

That set is $233. A ratchet driver is $62, and a TMR4 is $72. That's a total of $367.

I bought that set earlier in the year and sold back the ratchet driver. So I got the sockets and TMR4 for $171.

Walked out to the truck and asked him again. This time he said $367! I had called him out and after a few mins on the computer he said $231. I still didnt buy it.

I might buy it next week and just sell the sockets.

Didn't you say he was brand new? Maybe he is still learning the ropes. When you type in the part number in the computer on these BOGO deals, the computer tells you full list price, not the bogo price. I'm willing to bet thats where the discrepancy was. Give him a break.
