I have a Snap On tool box that is marked on the back with

KRA-104
Snap On Tools Corp
Kenisha Wiso USA 66

It was hard to read but that that mean it was made in 1966?
I was also wondering if the Snap-On logo you find on large rolling
toolboxes is made of metal or if plastic was ever used. Saw one at the flea market and the logo seemed to be of plastic. Thanks for any help.

Sounds like a 1966 box. The boxes prior to the early 1960's were not stamped IIRC, but everything after that, like yours, should be.

The logo's of that era would have been pot metal. The brand new boxes have plastic logos. My 2000ish KRL1001 had a plastic logo, so the switch to plastic was sometime before that.

I had a late 1980's or early 1990's KRA63A that had a metal logo.
