Looking at a local box, as I'm about out of room again. Problem is, it's an "intimidator" edition, which means it has some lightning graphics.

I'm not sure I could stand those graphics at any price, has anyone had luck removing them? If they're just stickers I figure a hair dryer is all I'd need? Maybe a plastic razor-blade or two?

Below is what I'm talking about removing.

Unless it’s some type of screen print you should be able to use a hair dryer, plastic scraper and a fair amount of patience and elbow grease to get it off. Worst case is tape it off and rattle can it over black.

three little panels? Are you kidding? Gloss black spray paint. Done.

...oh, yeah, and some masking tape.

I'd soften it up with a hair dryer and then starting at one corner, pull it off at an angle. GooGone for the adhesive residue left behind. Those decals are so big, you're going to have to go in stages.

I have a Snap On box with Polaris graphics on the same panels. I used a heat gun, and various chemicals designed for adhesive removal. I got a third of the decals off then gave up. It is very difficult to remove them. I also ruined the Snap On emblems while removing them. The boxes look like **** now but work great.

Those factory decals tend be tough get off .
can be done but take fair bit of effort and proper materials for a worthwhile result .
Factor that into price if do buy .

Thanks for the input guys. I may just pass on even investigating the box, if the graphics are that hard to remove. I don't want to trash anything in the process. Of course I could always buy it, use it, and eventually trade it in for something else. Pics show it as full of tools, which could offset some cost.

I'm a dangerous combination of cheap, picky, and lazy. :p Basically I want another matching triple for 2 grand, and no more than 30min from my house.
