Snap on Box parts question

I picked a used snap on 9 drawer top box KRA-59C that's missing the lock rods and the lock cam plate(?) Snap on online tells me parts are no longer made for this old box, date on box is 1979.

The lock is in the front cover, just missing the rods and the plate that goes on rear of lock. Other wise, box will clean up nice... even though it's got the old drawer slides.

Does anyone know if the rods from a newer KRA-4059 work/interchange? the box'es are the same size, have the same # drawers and sizes etc....I've seen one of the newer boxes and those parts look like they would work....

There's a real good chance that they will if the previous model and the newer model are the same outside dimensions.
