I have an older snap on triple stack tool box (probably late 80s or so.).
Top:kr-537D Middle:kr-547B Bottom:kr-557C The drawer slides(the ones welded to the inside of the box) on the middle box are broken (box is not ball bearing) I was wondering if this would be covered under some kind of snap on warranty or not? any help appreciated. thanks

OK, we need to clarify something: When you say the slides are broken, are you talking about the channel spot welded to the inner wall of the box; the channel spot welded to the drawer; or the intermediate slide member that connects inner wall channel to the drawer channel?

Warranty I'd imagine. I have a KR650 and KR660. They've warrantied every problem except the paint.

The channel spot welded the inside wall of the box is broken.
Did the spot welds pull loose from the inside wall of the box? That usually only happens on road boxes which are run miles on rough roads full of tools.

Or, did the channel wear through at the front and split at the bottom of the "U"? That occurs on the most commonly used drawers after many years of daily shop use.

yea, the channel is worn out, and it split in the bottom of the channel. the bottom of the channel is jus hanging there with about 4 or so inches still attached towards the back.

There's something on the parts list called a "Channel Track, HD." That might be the part you need, but you're gonna have to call customer service to make sure. If it's indeed the channel, then all you gotta do is have a body shop spot weld it on for you.

Here's the link. It takes a long time to load, so be patient: KR547B
