I've been looking for a bigger box lately, and today I asked the Snapper guy what he had. Well he said he would make me a deal on a box To my dismay, it actually seems to be a good deal. It is KRL7022CWBN. The price it has listed is $7,435, well he dropped it to $4,936, so pretty good drop there. And then he offered me $600 for a box I paid $250 for and a $300 dollar rebate... All said and done it comes to $4,274.48. Seem like a good price to everyone else? And, Beings that it is a limited edition, how hard is it down the road to find the anodized aluminum trim? Or find a match for lockers and hutches? This is kind of holding me back from buying. Thanks

So it's like a Halloween box? Black and orange trim? :p

If your okay with the colors, then go for it.

It may be a special edition, but it's a 7022 base model which is standard configuration. So you should have no trouble finding add-on's / trim to make it look however you want it later on, though I would not bother. I would buy it if I liked the deal and use it as is 'till time to move up and then trade it in.
I think the deal he offered is decent.

Would you consider a box other than Snap On or would we be wasting our time suggesting alternative ways to spend $4000+ ?

Well I looked at all the truck brands, and this was actually the cheapest number I got based on what I wanted. I'm open to suggestions

Did you also ask if he any trade in boxes you'd be interested in? A lot of times, they take something on a trade (often a competitor's box) and they want to unload it quickly, so there's deals to be had there.

I can't imagine what they'd give a guy for a Craftsman box for instance (I know that's not what you're after....), but perhaps a Matco, MAC or other box that might put a little more money in your pocket and less in the box itself.

That's just me....

I actually had bad luck with that... I asked all the tool guys what they had used and the prices were stupid high.. A classic 96 for 4200.... no way. Have been looking on Craigslist, and haven't seen any that really peaked my interest... Anyways, I bought the box.. So all the awesome deals will turn up now I imagine -_-

Good looking box! I like the color combo and say go for it. Worst thing that could happen is you may have a hard time getting the trim in add on side cabs and such but that's something you can color yourself or have someone do for you. The best thing about purchasing a Snap-on storage unit is the value it holds when it comes to trade in time on another Snap-on unit. Besides they are hard to beat for quality!
