Last week I picked up a pretty rough Snap on toolbox - 1985 KR560
When I went to see it, I didn’t expect to be so bad. Every door was hard to open and 2 of them wouldn’t open at all. It must’ve spent some of it’s life in a body shop because there is paint overspray all over it. Some of the overspray will not come off even with lacquer thinner .
So, I decided to restore the box because I always wanted this particular box when I was working as an auto mechanic.
So far, I have disassembled the box, cleaned it with lacquer thinner and started sanding.
I ordered 12 friction sliders from Snap-On
I’ll post pictures as I go along for anyone who is interested.
