I found this box on CL and have been swaping emails with them all week
I today found that I have been talking to the wife who knows nothing about the box.

can any of you tell from the picture what it is worth?
any help will be appreciated

That's not a bad price for the box but I'd be happier buying it around 500.

She probably figured the price by going online. Those are asking prices, not selling prices. Why are the listings still up? That $800 number is on the high side. It hasn't sold because it's on the high end and she probably won't deal. Offer $650 and explain that she is too high for these times.

That's a very nice setup. Couple of things, however. That's a two piece setup with a real small side box...not a three piece setup. $800 is overpriced for it. If it's in nice shape $500-$550 is a fair price for both buyer and seller.

yeah, thats true, plus seems to be a older style box at that. i would go 500 on it. no more than that.

I have been conversing with them for the last week and Offered a deal I thought was good for both. I have a John Deere 111 lawn tractor which 9 years ago was given a frame off restoration including paint all bearings and overhaul motor and decals. It has probably less than 100 hours as I only use it in the back where I might hit rocks. the front sides and part of the back I use a much newer Deere.
The 111 is a real deere not a big box special

so far no negotiating on price, so today it goes into a garage sale for full price/

I haven't seen it as it is at least a 2 hour round trip drive.

Will be in Garage Sale on June 4th if not sold.

Sort of like in Huckleberry Finn, where Miss Watson threatens to sell Jim to a plantation down the river, where he would be separated from his wife and children and treated horribly.

Nobody is going to offer him anything remotely close to what he's asking at a garage sale. Garage salers want something for as close to nothing as they can get. If people aren't biting from CL they surely won't at a garage sale.

Actually I just looked and the box is still listed. It is a KR557SCCX bottom box and a KR537D top box. Seller is asking $500 firm.
