Snap-On Cantilever Box Question

Can anyone tell me if this box looks like a real Snap-on? I am looking for a cantilever box to replace the one I had stolen but when i google PH50 I get a Snap-on air hammer.

I see ebay has an auction for those exact PH-50 tags.

I saw that too. I am winning this auction but the I can't find a reference to this box anywhere. I don't think it's real.

You can report it as counterfeit to eBay, and get out of your bid. Unless you want that specific box, there is no reason to give your money to a fraud.

I never saw a tool box with a PM part number and the small boxes usually have the Snap on name embossed into the metal. Red flag. That box has been repainted and not well. SO painted boxes black, greenish/gray and Kenosha red but I never saw one painted two tone (other than modern stuff). Also the shelf props are painted red and they should be chrome as should the rivets holding on the PM tag (notice also it looks screwed on rather than riveted). All that makes me very suspicious about it's origins and it looks badly restored to boot.

Looks like it might be a nice box but it doesn't have the Snap on look to me - the construction is too different.

I sent the seller a request to retract my bid based on the fact that this box is fake.

Looks a lot like an older craftsman one I have,but mine doesn't have the handles on the sides (could have been added on I'm sure)

He let me out of my bid. He said he had no idea it was fake but he has not changed the description. It does look like the Craftsman I had. It was stolen from the back of my truck in a Home Depot parking lot last Christmas. I have been trying to find another one.

I sent the seller a message asking some questions. He was aware of the tag problem but didn't know any other info about the box.

It was nice that he adjusted the listing to reflect the fake tag (sarcasm).

Why would someone pay that much for a box in that condition?
