Does snap on sell metric 3/4 drive 6 point chrome 3/4 drive sockets. I can only find them in black oxide but they sell sae in chrome. SK does not make metric 3/4 drive. Who else makes them? I would prefer chrome but it is not the end of the world. I just bought a 3/4 ratchet and I am going to start buying sockets as I go along I would prefer US made and chrome.

Thanks

To find 6 point metric chrome made in USA is probably near impossible.

The truck brands really trimmed down their larger socket lines a while back. Mac went strictly impact at some point.

Craftsman has a few pieces on line in 12 point. I know they have a bigger selection in the stores around me. online is showing 30mm 29mm 27mm for about $20 each before coupon and code angles.

Wright has 12 point.

Not sure why you think you need 6 point.......I've never had any issues with 12 point sockets, especially in 3/4" drive. It's awfully tough to round over 1.5" and up bolts & nut.

NA I never seen them in 6pt. Only 12pt, and they use to sell a decent line as well. Now it's only a handful of sizes.

This. The flats on 12 point sockets are so large at that point that you probably have a very similar contact pattern to a 6 point socket. If you are really going to be beating on it, you'll probably be using air tools.

So nobody likely carries 6 point, chrome, 3/4" drive sockets because there is no market for them.

I agree 12 point is fine for almost everything but for stubborn crank bolts I would like 6 point. I am industrial maintenance I use 3/4 drive all the time some are 6 point but most are 12 point. Thanks for the Help.

I got some 3/4 wright 12 pt chrome sockets. I put them to the test. They are tough. I was replacing the cutting edge on our Cat D7. 1 7/16 nuts. My 3/4 blupoint impact couldn't bust them off so out came the 1 inch (2800 ft lb ) impact. Its a beast.. With an adapter I wailed on them, it took a few hits but they came off. Not one nut rounded and the socket is still in fine shape. Just a testimony of Wrights quality and strength. 12 pt is fine in the big sizes.

I have had some Snap on 3/4 metric socks (12pt), for some reason they quit making them about 15 years ago.
