Does anyone know which puller is supposed to fit in the bottom of the tray? I brought it today and that big open space is bugging me

I am not 100% sure, but I believe if you have a puller setup, you can put it in that space to store it without taking it apart.
I have the complete set that is on the tool board that hangs on the wall, so that is why I am not completely sure.

That makes sense. I have a CJ2002 but I disassemble it when I'm done. I've also wondered why the blank space. Maybe next time I won't try to disassemble and see if it fits. I think I've seen some used ones just like that.

I texted two more dealers and they both didn't know. So maybe it just is a storage like you said. It makes me want to buy another puller just to fill the space lol

Where was it on promo? I'm looking for the same set.
The shop I worked at in the 90s bought one and it was the same tray with that big open space.
$300 is an absolute steal for that set. List is over double that. I bought one 2 years ago and find I use it way more than I thought I would!

MY question: in the photos on the Snappy site there appear to be 2 black bolts all by their lonesome at the far end of the tray. I've seen some used sets that appear to be missing this and I'm wondering if it matters - anyone know what these bolts are for?

Well I've been eyeing a CJ2002 kit forever, but could never find the right mix of price, condition and "completeness" in anything used.
I picked this up yesterday locally for $150 in very good condition. From what I can tell it nets me, say, ~3/4 of a complete CJ2002 kit. Looks like I'm missing the CJ87-1 jaws (already ordered on ebay for $35/pair), the CJ83-3 pressure screw and the CJ84-16 centering point.
The pressure screw is backordered on Snappy's site but I'm just going to take my time watching ebay. The centering point is available but I'm struggling to swallow $14.95 UPS shipping on a $14.10 part
So I think by the time I'm done I'll have a CJ2002 kit for around $250. The red tray even comes up now and again but I personally wouldn't want it and wouldn't use it
