Hey garagejournalers,

I have a current model Snap-On Classic 60 roll cab (KRA2407). I ordered a set of drawer slides to make the top drawer double slide. The ones I received are definitely not right. The tabs don't line up and they're not deep enough, so I think they must be for Heritage series roll cabs. I had a feeling something would go wrong and should have consulted the forum before ordering.

The slides that came with my roll cab are part number 8-05188ARM. I figured it would be easy enough to just put that P/N into Snap-On's website and order them up. The P/N turns up nothing on the site. I checked Snap-On's parts diagram for the roll cab (here) and guess what...no mention of the slides. If any part should be listed, it seems like it would be the slides.

I then found P/N 8-05288ALRS by browsing site, it had this description:

"Left/right side kit with screws. For all narrow and wide drawers in KRA2000/KRA4000/KRA5000 Series units and KRSC series carts."

I figured my KRA2407 is part of the KRA2000 series, so maybe it's just an updated part number or something. Well it definitely no worky. I don't currently work in a shop, so I don't have a dealer to talk to. Here's another nice twist...I just got a new phone and tried to activate it. That deactivated my old phone and the activation didn't seem to work on my new one, so I can't call them at the moment. Sweet!

Has anyone ordered slides for a Classic roll cab, and if so what the heck part number did you use?

Thanks!

Got it, thanks. I'm still scratching my head about Snap-On's catalog on that one. That P/N is not listed with the other slides. You can enter it manually, but it cannot be found from the roll cab's parts list or in the online catalog.

At any rate, I use a KRA2007 as a cart and those slides fit that roll cab, so I guess the bottom drawer is going to get beefed up.

Thanks again for the part number.
