Snap-on Classic 78 Skinned Series

I am interested in ordering a new Snap-on Classic 78 tool box from the Skinned Series - either Carbon Fiber or Razors Edge. My main concern is with the durability of the 'skin' that is used. Is the box just power coated and and vinyl decals placed on top?? Does anybody have any longer term experiences with them?? Is the coverings covered by the warranty??

This will be for my personal garage. So, while dents and scratches will be minimized, I still want something I don't have to worry about. Oh, please do NOT make a HF suggestion; I am not interested in anything from China.

Any input is appreciated and thank you in advance for your help.

From what i have seen its at least as durable as a powder coated snap on such as mine. I would be careful with solvents but honestly i have to be careful with solvents around my Krl. I say buy away and enjoy!

Seen a few hands on, hold up pretty well. Box is powder coated and then the skin is applied thereafter. Most are a full wrap, as in the pre-cut pieces cover and protect the drawers completely. Best part about is you can change skins down the road and keep the original paint is perfect shape, or peel off the skin and have a brand new looking box.

I was thinking same thing. Worst case the vinyl skin can be peeled off and replaced.
I assume it is comparable to the stuff my sign guy uses to letter my trucks. They see sunlight everyday, exposed to all the weather NY has to offer, and get brushed/hit by road debris, tools sticking out when walking by, and anything else an employee will do without thinking.
Point is, by 5 years or so the digital graphics start looking shabby and need a refresh. I don't see why a box stored inside and cared for wouldn't last until the glue starts to dry out. ( all vinyl is created with an expected life span)
