Snap on classic 78

So tomorrow I'm looking at a blue classic 78, it is in really good condition from the pics I've seen. And was made around 07-08. What should I offer the guy and what do you guys think its worth?

And more details, do you want a price for a classic 78 roll cab and/or top chest, your location (plays a big role in price), and does the seller have an asking price?

They're usually right around $2000. They can go lower if you're at the right place at the right time and willing to accept any color/condition.

A new 78 goes for 4300.00. With a school discount you can get them for about 2100.00. If you have ever traded in a Snap-On box, they dont lose value because someone owned them, condition pending.

Therefore, if you can get it for 2000.. Thats pretty good. If you can get it cheaper, that is better.

One more vote for $2k. That's the most I would pay for one although I've seen some ask as much as $2500.

The guy was asking for 2300, I shot him an offer of 1900 and he said yes to it. All I have seen is picture but it looks in good condition. I'm in NJ for location.
