My old ratchet driver slips every so often. Called snap on to see what they would do and they said they have never heard of this model number and it doesnt even show up in their system. :dunno:

SSDMR4BPM, pink is a non-catalog color but shouldn't be a problem. Big bucks on ebay, no idea why, they're always available.

That is when you ask the person if there is anyone at the company that is actually competent at their job. I've had companies try that "We never made it, it doesn't exist" while I'm holding the item in my hand.

I sent a 10 or a 13 mm chrome shallow 3/8 drive socket in during a time when I had no driver and after a couple weeks I called them and asked what the deal was and they said we don't make that anymore. Ummm ok really it's right online in your catalog, turned out the part number had a letter or something like that now on it, and they just told me to tell them what part number wanted and would send it to me that day. I don't think the CS people know anything much about tools and if that exact part number does not come up in the system for them then they don't have a clue what to do, I just think they toss it aside and go on to the next one

Don't know about the computer system in house, but the old web site didn't search for a close number or a superseded number most times. New site does a better job.

And I doubt the CS people know much about tools, let alone tools that used to be made. Don't know how you fill that job.

That was fast.

Post a question and 2 minutes later the first answer and one minuter later the second correct answer!

I am going to post "what is the meaning of life" and see how long it takes.

The thread will get locked, the religious will take it as an opening to convert everyone. I have tried similar, but never expected what I got for replies.

Actually , SO customer service has been pretty good all the times, I have called and asked questions. I had a small slip up with touchup paint for my box. TThey don't know EVERYTHING, but that is just my .03

Maybe they weren't hearing you correctly? I seem to have a filter on my mouth that jumbles part numbers and questions. For example ---I need a refund. Yes sir, what is the price of the item you would like to order????

Maybe your filter is still on :)

Tom T. Hall sums that up pretty well. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, and more money.

Paraphrasing Mr. Green.."World peace, no VCR's, and new socket wrenches."
