Snap-on Cordless impact warranty?

I've got a CT3850 1/2" cordless impact that doesn't hold the batteries very well anymore (housing must be worn where the batteries snap in). Would Snap-on repair it under warranty? Or would I need to buy the new housing for around $25 from Snap-on?

I don't have easy access to the Snap-on guy, but I have a few friends that he visits regularly.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Might want to call snap on or pm mrshaun or chadster and they can give you insight on the warranty. Just curious how long you had it in service?

I'm sure it is at least 5 years old. I don't really expect them to warranty a power tool that has outlasted the original batteries, but was just curious if the warranty for power tools is a liberal as it is for hand tools. I don't have an issue with spending the $25 to keep it going, but I don't want to pay for the part, then take the time to replace the part, if they would do it all for free.

No warranty. It is at least 5 yrs old. If your batteries still work good try eBay for a used gun. That would be your cheapest route.
