Ok, guys i have yet to see anyone say anything about this. This is one of the very first snap on tools i bought, and i believe it took over as my favorite...

anyways, i was just letting you guys know my opinion on this tool. I bought it new off ebay for 350 shipped with two batteries a chager and the new led light snap on offers. This thing has unbelievable torque, so much so that i put a bar inbetween my ir2135ti and it spun it backwards...lol. It is a little heavy, but it has awesome torque, and hardly rachets till you get a lot of torque, so you can zip lug nuts or what ever else slowly, just like a cordless drill, then start impacting. I just hope they make a smaller 3/8 one soon.

Searching around its kind of interesting how a handful of brands are all claiming highest torque in a X volt cordless. All are rated about 325 ftlbs, makes me wonder who makes them. Skipping $400+ in an air compressor makes them kind of appealing too.

I own the 18v Dewalt cordless impact, and the club race team I crew for has the abover mentioned Snap On 18v gun. The SnapOn is "hands down" more powerful than my Dewalt (we use them side by side to do tire changes during pits stops). We use the SO on the front tires, and my Dewalt on the rears...as the rears are easier to break free...so we can use the weaker gun on them.

Like mentioned...the SO is on the heavy side. My Dewalt is much more usefull on a daily basis for regular dissasembly as its powerful enough and much smaller and lighter. The SO has a different torque curve than my Dewalt...probably due to gearing...it's slower, and takes a split second longer to wind up and wind down, but has much more punch.
