Does anyone know why Snap-On discontinued their cordless 3/8 drive and 1/ 4 drive ratchets?

Was it because of inferior quality or safety issues or what? If it was a good tool why would Snap-On discontinue it?

I bought one on eBay. I hope that I did not buy a dud. I have not used it yet.
Thanks for the input.

I couldn't tell you. Generally when a company discontinues and item its due to the fact that there wasn't a whole lot of demand for it. If nobody was buying them, why sell it?

I for one wouldn't buy one and the 1 air ratchet I do own almost never gets used.

I really wanted one but couldn't see me using it much. I bought a 1/4" snap on air ratchet and have used it one time so I doubt I would use the cordless much either.

I sold a few and we can get them now and then from other dealers. my junk yard guys love them. makes part pulling easier. But no idea why they quit making it.
