Snap on craigslist ratchet

Picked this up over the weekend. L72t head and l72rl handle. Any idea how old this is? (I'm guessing 70's 80's). Are replacement handles available? I bought it to use at work, but if it's a rarity I'll go easy on it.

There should be a date code between the on-off markings and on the handle where the name is stamped.

You can get a short handle from Snap-on that will work , it's double ended and fits the new and old style. New style has a slightly larger dia handle. https://store.snapon.com/Head-and-Handle-Combinations-3-4--3-4-Drive-19-1-4-Plain-Locking-Button-Handle-P636862.aspx

Ebay may be another option for an old style short handle.

My 1986 3/4 drive torque wrench only has a breaker head, no ratchet. It's the 13/16 version. The L872 is too large. Would like to find a ratchet head for it.

Last job was the harmonic balancer bolt on a Duramax. 400ft lbs on that sucker. Not sure whats so special about them that it takes so much to hold em on. Would have been much easier to get a bite with a ratchet head instead of the breaker

That's pretty. I am currently eyeing what you are looking at. I apprenticed using one of those on acura crankshaft pulley bolts.

If memory servers that handle is 42" long.
The longest new handle is 36" long.
