Anyone seen these? They look pretty nifty.

Snap-On part A277:

Discovered these via Google.

Ended up ordering (4) of them online. Curious if the Snap-On dealers here on the board stock these on their truck? Happened to see a truck pull into a cycle shop I was at, so I asked about them, and the driver seemed put out that I asked him if he had any of them, and told me that they weren't anything that they sell, that they only come with crowfoot wrench sets. Super great guy.

Those look pretty cool actually. Please post up some betters pics when you get them in. I might have to pick up a set of these since I have some of the c-man crowfoot (no, not the Chinese ones, thank God) and haven't figured out a good way to store 'em yet.

As for the guy, sounds like the Snap On dealer that wanted me to meet him at a shop somewhere for several hundreds $$$ in product because he refused to deliver to my home, even though I saw him parked at another house the next street up numerous times. I ordered on the website as well.

I have 2 of those sets, one for the normal crowsfeet, the other one for the tubing crowsfeet. They work really well, just wish they had a version that was slightly longer. Have had them for 20 years and they are still holding up.

I have 2 sets, one for SAE and the other for the Metric. I love them. I think I paid $5 per set, my Snappy dealer did not have them on the truck but he ordered them and I got it the following week. They work well, and once the crowsfeet are on them they don't take up too much space.

They're quite simple and handy. I wish they offered them in a slightly longer length and perhaps a blue one for metric though. Oh, and you don't want to pick them up by one end as the weight of the crowfeet will cause the holder to separate as your crowfeet peel off and fall back into the drawer.:wtf:
Other brands like Mac and Cornwell use a piece of 3/8 square stock with a detent ball on each end. I like my Snap on holders because you can separate the holder at a particular wrench size that you want.

You have to slide a bunch off to get to the middle of the stack. I just stagger mine on a socket rail like this...

I use a big diaper pin... It's not ideal, in that you have to take off most of them to get at the one you want normally, but I'm not grabbing a crowfoot every say. A plus is it will never accidentally release on you (which is nice if your tools travel, it's amazing what can rattle apart).

I have some and like them. It's really not that big of a deal to get to the middle, you slide open part way and find the size you want and push some to one side and some to the other side to get the one you need. I don't use crows feet that often so it's not a big deal and takes up less space than on a rail. Personally I like them.

As others have said they take up less room in the box. Finding the right size is simple.

I have three at work, and just ordered another one for home, getting to the right size in the middle is easy, you just leave the ones smaller or bigger on the rail and split it at the one you need to use. I used the rail trick but it took up way too much room especially w/ three different sets at work.

Mac has a 1/2" with detent balls that comes in there big set. I use a 1/2" bolt for my 1-1/2 to 2 Snap-On crows feet.

The shop has the old Mac bar, where you have to pull everything off, to get to the one you want. I've seen the socket bar, but due to the toolbox layout, these take less room. (in fact the boss took one to keep his in his desk) You grab the size you want, and split it there, that is all there is to it.
