I'm not aware of any sales going on. Then again, I rarely make tool purchases from the Snap On trucks.

Do you want the 6855 or the 6850? The 55 comes with 1 lithium ion battery, the 50 has 2 ni-cads...otherwise it is the exact same.

I want the 6855 with the lithium battery, although I don't mind the 6850 if I can get a good price on it. The lithium is attractive because I my current IR batteries have developed memory effect even though they're only 3 years old. The problem is that I don't use the impact that often so lithium fits me better.

I will tell you for sure that the 6850 is easier to find used than the 6855. I think that is because most guys buy the 6850 over the 6855 to get the 2 batteries, so there are more 50s out there. I have a green 6850 myself. I have only used it a few times, but I will tell you that all you have heard is definitely not hype...it's a beast.
