I've been trolling decently priced CT8810a listings on eBay in the past weeks and I've noticed something interesting...
Going by the serial#'s on nearly all of the auctions, almost every single impact build date is either 2014 or 2015 (2016 kits fetching a premium that I simply scroll over). When was the updated "8810a" released? It sort of scares me seeing that 50/50 seem to be abused or hardly used and all are relatively close manufactur dates.
I've read some of the reliability issues and I'm hoping that all these pre owned units aren't on their way of shitting out and I could be the potential owner of a nearly dead power tool.
Just curious as to your thoughts since a lot of these kits can be had for <$350 as of now .
