yes,i have one,the first blow is about 700 ft/lbs. after that it is 600 ft/lbs.very powerful gun, that torque rivals many pneumatic guns.also very bright light which is trigger powered. and comes with the lithium-ion batteries.now the down side is,the gun is very heavy and it is not balanced very well,if you put a large socket such as an axle nut socket on it ,it tips over very easily and even without a big socket on it,it still seems to fall over very easily to me.over

Played around with one the other day. Definitely stronger than the 7850 but still not stronger than Milwaukee 2763 or IR 7150. I also agree its unbalanced as hell an too expensive

I received my CT8850 last week Friday before the holiday. My new dealer is one of the largest in Michigan with many routes. I was given a decent deal as well as a large trade in on my old gun. This cordless impact is exactly what it was designed for. Yes it is to large and heavy to be a direct replacement for a regular 1/2" impact, but for mobile use it is a life saver. I work heavy equipment and class 6-8. The first test was against our warehouse 5T lift Hilo's. There was not one 1&1/2" lugnut that this gun couldn't remove. Next was on a double framed 5 axle Hook Lift Kenworth drive line. The gun works as advertised much more power than the predecessor ct7850. I am quite happy so far. Any questions please don't be afraid to message me.

So..about cordless impact testing...is it as varied as air impacts? How do the makers REALLY stack up against each other...do some of the makers underrate their guns a little and do some overrate their guns?

I have the older 6850 with the nicad (recently rebuilt to nimh) batteries. That sucker stood up for 10 years of abuse for road service work among many other tasks. It has never failed me if the battery was charged. I had to have the trigger redone and I had 2 batteries redone b/c they didnt hold a charge well.

Buddy of mine has a snap on route and I wanted to trade for a newer gun, he told me to hold off as they were having issues with the lithium battery guns. I decided after talking to him again about it probably a year later to go with the milwaukee setup.

Just got me one from my local dealer for less than $500 using a trade in IM 6500 HP and another discount I had waiting. Played around with it last night and was pleased with the performance of it

I have 2 of the 8850, one at work and one in my truck for road calls/service. To me its not heavy. It has not failed me, the sucker has plenty of power. Battery life is great. I love this impact its great

Are you in the USA? If so then your dealer is not on his game. These units have been out for a few months. I even have a demo on board.

I suspect he's going broke to be honest. I ordered screen protectors for the verus months ago and still don't have them. I have to ride him to get things done. It never used to be that way.
