Excuse me? - I have never parroted anything in my 800+ posts here on GJ, go and look for yourself.

I repair power tools as a sideline, and many of the Snap-On power tools I have disassembled are full of parts that I recognize from working on Bosch power tools. I even see the unique circular Bosch logo on the internal parts from time to time.

If woodstockva says the same thing, it's because he is correct.

Oh I see Denso parts in both Honda and Toyota cars, they must be the same car with different badges.

An alternate reality in a parallel universe.
I just spoke to my SO dealer, who has been doing this for 30 plus years. He does not know of any instance where Bosch had produced tools for Snap -on.

But of course Wild cowbull is the expert in everything, so the rest of the world must be wrong.

Most Snap On dealers regardless of tenure don't know about many of their tools as to where they are made or who really makes them. The Bosch reference is real, look at the 18v reciprocating saw and then look at the Bosch. Also Mayhew makes many of their punches.

Oh I see Denso parts in both Honda and Toyota cars, they must be the same car with different badges.

Denso (full name Nippon-Denso) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Toyota, and along with the other principal Toyota parts subsidiary, Aisin, together make over 90% of all of the parts on Toyota and Lexus and Scion automobiles and trucks. (excluding joint venture with Subaru, Scion model FR-S)

Finding Denso components on a Honda would be fairly rare, and typically would be in an area where Denso has the market nearly cornered, such as high end A/C compressors (an area where Denso has no real competitor), or spark plugs, for example.

Overall, Honda doesn't tend to buy much from their main competitor Toyota.

On a more constructive note to depart from this ******* contest, to the OP....

If Snap-on will not warranty the batteries for you, aside from purchasing new batteries, you could have your existing batteries rebuilt. Check out this eBay seller:

http://stores.ebay.com/batterypackrebuildersllc/

I don't know if they can do the model you have, but I've had them rebuild Snap-on impact batteries for me in the past with excellent results. You should enquire about your particular battery if you don't see it listed in their eBay store. Less than half the cost of a new battery, and in many cases, especially for the older guns, they can upgrade the battery to better than new condition, (better quality cells, etc.)
