i bought my snap on ct8850 about 2 1/2 months ago and have used it as a tire tech for 50 hours a week since then, i love how convenient it is to not use air hoses but saturday my gun started stopping in reverse and yesterday it stopped working in reverse altogether, has anyone else had any problems? iv looked and googled but found no results

Be covered under warranty so no hassle in getting it fixed FOC

Probably the motor has gone bad if it started stopping and now wont go at all.

If the gun operates normally in the tighten direction than you can feel good that the impact and motor assembly are in good shape. DC motors [like the one in your gun] work change direction by reversing polarity applied to the motor. Sounds like your direction switch is faulty or the wiring is somehow damaged.

I love my CT8850. No problems to report on my end. Kind of ****** your Snappy guy wouldn't extend a loaner... most would bum out an IR231 to get you through....

The trigger went bad in mine. Did the exact same thing. My Snapon guy was able to get me the trigger the next day and I swapped it myself in about 10 minutes. It was under warranty so I paid nothing. I guess he really wasn't supposed to do it like that but I'm glad he did so I didn't have to wait
