Yes. It's an occasional use tool. Not something you would use all day. I think the run time is just under 30 minutes but don't quote me on that. It'll never replace a corded grinder.

I have the Milwaukee 18v Cordless 2780-21 Fuel Brushless Angle Grinder Kit and it is a hoss. I would say buy it over the snap on because the warrenty with Milwaukee is sweeter

If you have any other snappy 18v Li tools you can just buy the grinder body.

I currently have , an older 18v 1/2" Snap On impact, 14V 3/8" Snap On impact and a Snap On cordless drill. All with different batteries. I am planning , going for a new impact, drill and grinder all with same battery, either Snap On or Milwaukee. Snap On guy had this grinder, on his truck for first time. Never seen or heard about it before. I am in Scotland.

Was previously thinking about Milwaukee, because Snap On Didn't do a grinder and their extensive range.

This would be for carrying in my service van, for cutting a bearing off ,etc , not heavy fab work.

That's the Metabo WF18 LTX flathead grinder w/ a Snap-On battery base. Does it say made in Germany on the battery interface?

Man i almost cried when you just showed me that . But then I read the history of the company and by the sounds of it they are a top producer of cordless tools. I was a little worried thinking **** I could of got it prob 2 or 300 cheaper buying metabo . But I just looked on amazon and it list $579 so that's close to what I paid.

Yeah, you'll like that thing if it's like any of their other grinders. I don't think the flatheads have the autobalancer, but even without it, they vibrate a whole lot less than most other brands.

Metabo made their name making grinders, and are still widely considered the best in the business. Snap-On knew what they were doing when they contracted them to make them one.

Makes sense for you to keep it to one battery platform too if you have any of their other tools.
