Snap-on date code

I have a small pair of snap on dikes that I am trying to figure out the date code. To me it looks like a mirrored version of 1949, as it faces the wrong way compared to the charts I've seen. The "A" on the left side of the picture is part of USA, for orientation purposes.

I still think that 1949.

Lots of Snap-on tools don't match that date sheet that is floating around on the Internet.

Here you go. That sure looks like 49 only inverted. Post a pic of the pliers might help.

My neighbor is a snap- on rep... Going off the stamped drawer covers he said 30 to 40..... I can barely make out a 5 on the can and a 6 on the box currently getting a key cut for the lock... Any where else besides the back where it would possibly be stamped.... The paint on the cab is all but gone dry and flakey... I'm in restoration... But I'm thinking JUST cleaning and degreasing.... Paint and full resto, could possibly decrease the current value
