Hello,
I just got back from a week long trip to Disney w/ the family. It was a great trip until I came home to 2+ feet of snow. Anyway, I'm not much for roller coasters but when I saw the displays in the "GM test Tract" ride in Epcot I know I drooled all over the floor. I rode the ride 8 times just to see all the snap on displays. The best part was most of the tools were orange hard handles which are my personal favorite and have been collecting. I tried to score a couple that I could reach...but they were welded to the drawers. Enjoy the pics.

I saw those when we were there in 2009-Sep. They had some Sun equipment in there as well if I remember correctly.

On a side note, the ride was sorta lacking. However, I hold Cedar Point as the standard so most rides fall short.

Everything looks 90s vintage.... check out the 1/2 impact, hard handles and the boxes look that vintage too!

Hmmm what a waste. I'm sure they didn't start out as epoxied down. Until the first time someone came through and realized 1/2 the tools were missing! haha..

I did try, they were stuck down with epoxy glue. My ex was not impressed..

Believe me, I tried too. I had my hands on a SDD8 that was loose...just couldn't get it. My chick was cool w/ me drooling all over them and wanting to ride the same ride over and over just for one more glance. I was even praying for a long line so i could have more time w/ the tools. I have gotten the "i wish i turned you on as much as those tools." But she knows i love her.

This ride is one of the best parts of epcot! Even though we usaully get fast passes for the major rides, I kinda like when the wait is a little long so I have more time to check out the tools. :lol_hitti Did you go on soarin'? I love that ride!

Soarin is the best ride at Epcot.

It isn't a ride but the best thing at Epcot(besides the tools at Test Track) is the Food and Wine festival in Oct. and Nov. Great food and drink from all over the world

I thought it was ok. It's kinda like driving with my wife. Actually, if you want a real thrill, go down to central america and get in a cab.

Didn't you get the memo, taking tools from Disney and Junkyards is A-OK with some around here.

Actually, you could probably afford to buy every tool and most if not all of the boxes in the photos above for the amount of money it costs to take your family to Disney for a week.

I just remembered that allot of rides at disney have you walk through a little store at the exit where you can buy stuff that was seen on the ride. I.E. pirate hats and eye patch sales at the end of Pirates of the Carribian ride. Wonder if they could sell special collector Snap on tool sets with a little mickey head on it. I would probably pick up a small wrench set or a screwdriver set on the way out. That Snap on flashlight set that is turning up everywhere would probably sell well there if they put a mickey head on it.

Just got back from Orlando. Had to revive this thread. The last time I was there, I remembered all the orange and snap-on. There is next to no snap-on in the queue on display anymore. A couple of random pieces here and there. All the toolboxes (and there aren't near as many) are MAC and they have almost all stanley screwdrivers and stanley sockets in them. There are a couple sets of nice MAC screwdrivers in the cabinet near where they whack the head of the crash test dummy, but I was sorely disappointed. My son (7) was like, "Dad, what's wrong -- don't you like all these tools?" I was grumbling and mumbling that I could see all this stanely sh!t at wal-mart.

The ride is still good. It's pretty amazing how they update the queue displays in that ride. There were some 2010 vintage tires in the rack that I know weren't there the last time I was there.

Anyway, don't go there expecting to see the cool stuff in the pictures at the begining of this post.

Sorry to bring this one up from the dead.
