If you don't use the Snap On handle, the die will implode.

Like a Volvo retrofitted with aftermarket parts? :scared:

Poetic justice would demand a 12 pt, 1" Harbor Freight "Through the Handle" ratchet.

Hmmm. Actually, my 1" gearwrench might do it.

You can google Irwin __________ _________

Here is one supplier but not sure what one you need. Some are priced similar to snap-on.

They are skookum stocks though. You can feel the quality in your hands the 1st time you use them.

It appears this is a Snap-on exclusive die stock (double hex), not available through any other channel.

Oh, I never picked up on that being exclusive. When you think about it with only 2 handles you are pushing one side north and the other south. I wonder if this design actually distributes the force equally around the die. Specially on larger dies with 4 and 5 starts on them it would be ideal if all starts had equal pressure.

I had to tap some metric threads a while back and I only had a cheap set in metric. I broke one handle on the die stock 1st off so welded in back on then the other side broke so I welded it back on then the die broke. I went looking for a western made die and came home with a MAC branded Irwin kit. The 1st thing I noticed was how nice the die stock felt. The next thing is how nicely the die cut the threads I'd been struggling with the night before.
