Anyone quote these out lately? I did a search on this forum and it was mentioned it is cheaper to order Margards direct from Marrtec than ordering from Snap on. I just got off the phone with Marrtec and they quoted me $295 for my KRA5213. Snap on's website is $269. Am I missing something? Do you get more with the Margard kit?

What else did you find out? I want a set as well. I'd really like black but I'd settle for the nice brushed ones from Margard.

OK, they never seem to answer their phone when you call however if you leave a message they will call back usually right away. I talked to Cathy. I kind of get the feeling it's a small husband and wife operation. She is very nice. I asked what was the difference between the Margard kit and the Snap On kit? What I was told was Margards were the "original drawer guards" and Snap On use to purchase their product and rebrand it SO. SO no longer purchases from them and SO's drawer guards are now from China and the Margards are from USA. SO's China made drawer guards look the same but they use inferior adhesive than Margards. Margards use 3M adhesive. She also mentioned that if you have any issues they would make things right. I can't verify any of this I'm just repeating what I was told. When I pointed out that the SO kit was cheaper she matched the price. I'm still debating if I want to spend that much to protect my drawers but if I do I will buy from Margard to support the little guy this time.

^^ That helps. I was really wanting black ones though. I guess I could always plastidip them and if I don't like them peel it off. Thanks for the reply Joeracer355.

As an update to the adhesive, I recently got a set of corners, and drawer guards (carbon fiber) and they were all using 3M adhesive tape.

Look up drawer guards on snapons website... Coo USA.
The mar guard lady sounds bitter about them not choosing her for their vendor anymore.

Snap-on does what they always do. They find a cool inovative product. Buy said product from the origional manufacturer so they can market it. If it takes off they either beat up the manufacturer so they can make even more money. Or they find a cheaper supplier that will or they just start making them themselves. Im a big fan of snap-on but not always a fan of their ways.

Do not plasti-dip them. For a surface you are always grabbing...that **** won't last long.

Anyways....I wish there was a cheap alternative to these guards as I think they are so nice looking but are just priced ridiculously for an appearance item.
I bought one for my very top full width drawer as that was the drawer that was beat up when I bought my box used. Also I figure it's gonna get more stuff dropped on it being that it's the top one.
Was around $50 bux just for this one but like I said I only bought this one

They lip around the front and back and the sides have a little bend down tab. There is a little thin double sided tape line on the underside aswell

Did Margards go out of business? I had ordered from them for my last box, tried looking for them this morning and couldn't find a thing.
