Anyone have a source for snap on drawer slides. I have a KR660B bottom box
and need a couple of sets. They are stamped ACCURIDE. I asked the snap on dealer and he said around $80 a piece, I thought I could do better.
Thanks

what is the depth on them?
what is wrong with them?

I have some accuride slides, but they are just the standard accuride.
perhaps you could use what I have to 'rebuild' yours?

I agree too, get SnapOn to replace them or the box. Accuride drawer slides are made by Accuride International Inc. 12311 Shoemaker Ave. Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670
(562) 903-0200. Their website is at http://www.accuride.com

If SnapOn gives you any grief, call Accuride, talk to their marketing guy and get the name of his/her counterpart at SnapOn. Then give them a call in Racine Wisconsin. I'll bet that solves the problem plenty quick. <g>

P.S. Sorry Jack. Looks like you're on it.

Thanks for all the replies! I never asked the Snap on man for warranty I just asked for the price and he just gave me the price and a brochure on new boxes and a DVD about how they stand up to the other boxes. He is a real salesman on the tools.

He also sounds like a guy that will get the slides free from Snap-on and charge you $80 a set for them...... I wouldn't buy any land in Florida from him.......

KR660 should be roller bearing. It older brother the KR560 has friction slides except for the lower right large drawer.

Sorry for digging up an old thread, but I had ZERO luck getting my local guy to replace slides on my KR-660B. He says it is "too old". Part # is 8-3388ALRS according to the SO website.

Basically what he is saying is that he doesn't care and is not going to do it for you. Your choices are to keep bitching till they cave, try someone else at the company or front the money and purchase the slides. This is why I always laugh when people say "lifetime warranty" on their used tool box. Nope, nada, not legally.

You can prob call snap on and send them in vial mail. Although they may not ask for them to be sent in. My last few call in warranties tell me to destroy the broken thing.

That's bs he won't just replace them for you. Did you chase the guy down or is he your driver?

If they are accuride, you need to warranty through them. I had new bumpers sent to me for my KR1000 slides, the service from Accuride was top notch!

Hell all! I am new to this forum and I am trying to find out some info about slides. The Snap On box below is my brother in laws and I am trying to get new drawer slides for him. The tool box is past on to him from his late father in law and he wants to fix it. Will Snap On warranty slides even though it was past down? He is not a mechanic, but his dad was. Thanks for you help!!

Hi, welcome, nice boxes. How many drawers does the side box have? Should be a KR537 top, KR557 bottom and a KR... side. Some of the slides are still available which ones do you need?

Do you need to give the snap on dealer the old slides?

Typically they'll give me the cardboard tube the new slide ship in, and I'll return the old slides in the same tube.

They did warranty a set of slides on a box older than me, friction slides, and the phone rep just mailed them to me.
