Hi everyone, I'm kinda new to posting on forums but need some advice. So here goes...I'm debating weather to get the new snap on epiq 68 with the 3 top full length drawers or one with just the 2 top full length drawers. I guess the big difference is the one with the 3 top drawers only has 10 total drawers but the drawers are deeper and the one with 2 top drawers has I think 13 drawers total. Does anyone have that 3 full length drawer setup and how do you like it? I understand that it depends on how you like to organize your box but I couldn't find any pictures of that new configuration. Thanks

Howdy, and welcome to the forum!

While I don't have the three long drawer version, I do have an epiq 68" and really like the box. Having owned pretty much everything but a MAC, I really like the epiq the best. I have an older KRL at work also, and have the epiq at my hobby shop.

Like you said it's going to be how you want to organize your tools. Are you a professional mechanic? Do you have a lot of air tools? Do you have a lot of wrenches?

With the 3 drawer version I'd do something like this--Top drawer SOCKETS, second (skinny) drawer WRENCHES, and the third (taller) drawer AIR TOOLS.

My two wide drawer epiq suits me fine, as I have top drawer sockets, and 2nd drawer wrenches. I have my air tools in the first deeper drawer, and they seem to fit fine. I don't feel the need for a really wide screwdriver drawer unless someone has a sick obsession with them. :eyecrazy:

I have an 84 epiq, with the 3 big drawers. I'm still figuring out the layout, but I'm starting to wish that I only got the 2 big drawers since I lost the smaller drawers. It depends what you're planning on storing in them though.

Thanks Duster and Tmct. I'm not a mechanic by trade and this is for my house. I work on small engines and my cars as my hoby. Although I would be getting a pretty good deal from the snap on guy, I'm pretty indecisive when it comes to these bigger purchases. I like the big drawers but I also like more smaller drawers too lol. Oh by the way I'm planning on getting it with a hutch if that makes any difference in how I set it up.

Any chance of getting some pictures of the way you have your box set up Tmct?

Thanks again for your responses.
