Holy Cow! Saw this on Craig's List and I just had to share...

SNAP ON EPIQ BBQ limited production of 200 units. Available only with the purchase of a new Snap on Epiq tool box and made to look like an Epiq tool box. 8 burners total. On the left side it has 2 burners for stove top cooking. The center section has 4 burners for the grill and a warming rack. The right section has 2 infrared burners, a warming rack and a rotissirie. The top drawer folds down for access to the burner controls and ectronic ignition. The next drawer opens up for storage The the lower cabinet opens up to provide storage for a cooler or large items. The left cabinet opens up to reveal storage for the propane tank and peg board for hanging tongs and other bbq essentials. The right side opens up for large storage of the cover or what ever else you have. This is a realy nice bbq. I just got it 2 days ago, it is brand new and in perfect shape. $2500.00 obo will consider trade if you got somthing cool, no junk, seroious buyers only please

Someone here just sold one earlier in the week on eBay for around $1800. That's a lot of coin for a BBQ, but if it's taken care of, it'll last almost forever. I have a Jenn Air that I bought for $700 more than 10 years ago and it still looks like new, so it's actually a reasonable investment.

I think it's cute and funny, and I'm happy that someone else made them, and someone else owns one and I can enjoy it vicariously. But it's not going to be for me, it's not in good taste as a serious product. Maybe relegate it to the garage to pull out for particular events; a more conservative grill to occupy the patio most of the time.

oh, "epiq" is snapons new line of toolboxes. I'm not sure about the specs, but I think it's their highest-end line now, so probably thicker sheet metal, nicer bearings, more chrome: not in the market for a brand-new full-retail box so I haven't looked in detail.

Just funny. The best mechanics I know have toolboxes that probably cost under $500.

i always sorta think the same thing. the 3 mechanics i've gone to in my life have never failed to fix a problem, and always did it for peanuts compared to big name dealers and 2 of them are working out of 26in roll cabs, the other has a HF box.

tool boxes don't fix anything, its whats inside them that does all the work.

For $40,000, I'm thinking that I'll go to a shipyard and have a toolbox made up out of 1" plate steel, and each drawer will roll out on its own casters as bit as big as the standard snapon box's wheels. Hydraulic pistons will open and close each drawer, and theft won't be an issue-- it will be built into its own foundation to support its own weight.

Yeah, because Snap On is well known for making good grills.

Its a grill that Snap-on had made with fronts on the drawers to look like the Epiq toolboxes. Its made like a grill, not like a toolbox. If it was built as sturdy as a toolbox, I would probably buy one. Since its built like a grill, I will pass. I already have a big stainless steel grill.

well since my grill was damaged in our last MICRO BURST I will get one of these new ones as long as they have enough to get mine done. It is over due at the moment.
