Snap On EPIQ drawer slides

First off I would like to say hello. I've been causally looking for many years now but this is my first post. I have gained much knowledge from many of you. For that I say thank you. Now for my guestions. I recently purchased a Snap On EPIQ 60" toolbox from a pawn shop. Someone put what looks like axle grease on all the slides, not just a dab but a healthy dose of it. It is rather sticky and does not allow the drawers to open or close very easily. I spent today trying to clean as much of it off as I could, but realized they need to come off for a thorough cleaning. The problem is I don't know how to remove the slides from the box without damaging them. Any help would be much appreciated, pics would go a long way also. Question number 2, I need a bottle of touch up paint in Powder Red, Ditzler #74148. I've found nothing online to guide me in finding a bottle. Anyone know how to get one? Thank you in advance.

for paint get with the local snapon guy or call them. as for the slides not sure my boxes are not the Epiq Line.

Hautpot thank you very much for the write and pictures. I will try tomorrow at getting them out. I do need to also remove the top drawer slides so I guess I'll need to acquire the Snap On tool. Again thank you very much.

Since they seem to be the same as on the cheaper boxes, all you need is a cheap plastic prybar. This came in a set of 5 from Princess Auto (Canada), but Harbor Freight has the same set.

Push it in as and where shown. Note the rectangular hole. Lift up in the direction of the arrow.

Here's what's on the back of the slide. When you lift the slide out, it pivots about the rear hook (yellow circle), then slides toward you.

Update, a huge thank you to hautpot and MikeF2316 for the information and especially the pics. I ended up using the plastic prybay similar to the one in Mike's picture. Pushed it down by hand, pulled up on the slide by hand, came right out. Worked beautifully. Now if only cleaning them was as fast and easy. Once again thank you.
