cliff'd notes:

after 7 weeks of waiting for my new tool box, it finally came. I ordered a triple bay epiq flat black witt black trimming.

so after playing around with it and putting my tools in it, it's settled in it's new home.

I think the build quality of this box is really cheap.

my locking mechanism started falling apart by itself.

after a drawer by drawer inspection, I think the quality control person is not doing his job right.

I feel really disappointed that a $16 k tool box is not perfect .

Would you be disappointed to ?

I think if you are disappointed in the quality, you should talk to Snap On. I'm guessing they will make it right. If your dealer doesn't help, call corporate.

If someone with that grammar can afford a 16k toolbox......I might as well pack it in and move to china and become a metal worker

So....the lock fell apart? Not the toolbox itself?

Which lock? The key lock or the individual drawer lock?

Please also use some of the following characters when writing a sentence: ?,.!";:'@#$%&()*-/+\

I'm not a pro wrench and I like a nice box as much as the next guy but I really hope there are not a lot of guys paying $16k for new boxes. If your making $50k a year that is more than a third of your pay after taxes probably closer to half. That is just not a smart financial decision especially with Snap On's interest rates. I would rather spend my money on a 56" HF or MasterForce and replace it when it gets worn out in 10 years. I don't mean to rant as everyone is entitled to spend their money how they wish but I could never talk myself into a $16k box.

Conversing in a negative tone about snap on in any way, shape or form isn't well taken on this forum even if you think there is just cause for it. If you really must do so make sure to use perfect English. You will still be ridiculed and flamed for the bashing but at least the grammar doesn't become an issue.

However bashing craftsman or any tools made in Asia is welcome and perfect English is not required.

Too bad July 4th is no longer "Buy Craftsman Day", eh?

Although I do not know the OP poster, I have to say that English is not my first language either. I apologize for it.
It's hard when you come from another country and you're middle-aged, you don't learn another language easily. I'm always try to express myself better, and sometimes I use Google translator, but still we do it wrong, please excuse the inconvenience of the language.
On the other hand, I understand your displeasure, you do not have to translate what we say. We must learn and respect your language and nice country.

$16K for a ******* toolbox? Seek psychiatric help.

That cost the same as a Honda Civic. Is the Epic as complex and sophisticated as the Civic? 16k for a bunch of sheetmetal. Snap On has good marketing department.

Don't worry. There are alot of natural born Americans with terrible grammar and spelling.

I would like to shake your hand, sir. It's been a long, long time since people (like my great grandparents) would move to this country and express that sentiment. It's very refreshing to hear it today. Please, come to Miami and teach the people here how to act!

No need to apologize. It isn't your first language.

The people I get all ZEIG HEIL grammar Nazi on are those who only speak English, and destroy it. Immigrants get an automatic pass on grammar, punctuation, syntax, etc, as long as their writing is at least somewhat intelligible. Your post has a few minor errors, but I'm not gonna bust your chops about it. The OP's post? Different story there brother!:pimpflash

I guess I can't decide what's worth the English and writing or that someone actually paid 16 grand for a epiq box. I thought everyone knows not to pay full price for
Boxes.

What comes around goes around, I know there's a ton of ex-pats spread around the world for whom the shoe is on the other foot.

At least the OP was able to express himself enough that we were able to get the jist of it. After all he's not talking about a $100.00 set of screw drivers here. If his complaint is legit I'd say there's cause for concern. 16K should be NASA protocol.

Photos would be nice.
