Hello all, I just registered here after finding this page yesterday, quite alot of good information here. Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone has seen any info on triple bank Snap On EPIQ toolboxes? I'm talking about a box with standard drawers, not the powerbank drawer. I saw a picture of one on a Snap On ad sent to my house but I haven't seen anything on Snap On's website yet.

I'm interested in dimesions, colors, pricing etc. I'd like to compare one to a KRL1023 and a Macsimizer; I'm in the market for a larger box.

Thanks for the help!

The picture under KEWN does show the triple I'm interested in, but doesn't give any size/capacity information. I'll have to track down a Snap On dealer and see if they have any further info.

funny thing is, most snap-on dealers dont have a lot of info on the epiq boxes. im in the process of getting a 76" with the powerbank. didnt really like the powerbank at first but saw one and it really does come in handy. the 68" epiq actually have just as much room as a 72" krl box. fyi

I'm curious, keep posted how you like the powerbank. I was set to buy a 1023 a few weeks ago but since held off....the powerbank looks like it might be pretty handy after all.

same as a price of a triple bay krl series. the tops are a little more.

ok, i did a little research earlier. the 76" with the powerbank actually have smaller drawers in width then the 68". since the powerbank is around 19" wide. so your drawers on a 76" epiq are slightly wider then that of a krl1022 (which is what i have now).

i saw a 68" epiq at my snappy dealers house last week and the drawers are a lot wider. so i will definately be going with the 68" over the 76". i just cant see spending over 2500 more for the 84" just to have the powerbank.

I would be interested in the pricing and technical specs of the 68" epic.

SS5150,

The powerbank is a great thing if you are going to use it properly. Another option would always be to take a 68" EPIQ with the powertop and add a workstation. That way you can still lock up your chargers, etc. and have plenty of wide open storage without taking up any space in the roll cab. I am a dealer and I can definitely understand all of the questions about which to go with these boxes. No matter what you choose you will not be disappointed. You should be able to get your local dealer to throw in a light for the workstation too if you play your cards right. We are very excited about these units and want to get them into techs bays.

So it's not a powerbank unit? Keep us posted on how you like it. I'm very interested to hear, for sure.

Let us know how it compares with your 1022, also.

I almost bought the 84" one for 9k, just couldnt bring myself to do as that would have taken a chunk out of my house down payment and ended up just buying a top for my classic 78. I really like the way the drawer pull setup was done, lock and roll I am not a fan of.

I have the 76'' with powerbank and powertop I have had if for a year now and is holding up nicely. I will never own another box without the powerbank it actually fits many tools and all with easy reach. Now for the drawer retention I hate them I much prefer Lock N Roll must easier in my eyes. The added bonus not many people know how lock n roll works so they try to get in you box and they think its locked. Other then that it is a good looking and very functional box. Congrats on your new purchase

Can you post pics of the inside of the powerbank?

How many air tools or cordless tools/chargers will it hold?

yeah, the pulls need a little getting used to. i actually love the lock n roll on my 1022 right now. i was really considering the 76" but when i saw the drawers were the same size as the 1022 i got now, i couldnt see spending money on a new box with barely any more space. but the powerbank is really nice

They look nice but with all the used deals on CL right now because of the economy I can't pull the trigger on one. I was looking at them too recently. I'd rather just by a used box on CL and keep my paid off boxes. I'd love to get one though, the power bank thing is really nice and the top with built in power strip is pretty awesome if you have scantools.

Sorry it took so long I was out of town for the holidays. But here are some pics. The box would be perfect with lock and roll. If anyone has anymore questions let me know.

actually after seeing the storage area im thinking i might make a wall cab out of wood to do the same thing .. ... wheres turbobuick lol
