Snap on Epiq?

Has any one gotten/bought one of these new snap on epiq tool boxes? Do you like it? Hows the new design compared to old one? Thanks

i have one the anniversary one that is white love it compared to my 722 but im already out of room

With my dealer, the younger guys seem to like the Epic and us old farts prefer the KRL. It might have something to do with the yonger guys having more battery powered tools (and using the powerbank feature) and us old guys sticking with air tools.

The main difference to me is the drawer release (can't get used to the Epic).

I was asking cause I have a krl 1033 with a hutch and docker locker in extreme green. My box is loaded and out of room. The hutch and locker just to seem to hold "junk". And i have broken several slides on the draws. I was looking at trading in for the 68 inch epiq top and bottom black in color, which would give me more storage. The nice thing about the epiq is the new style handles and the draws pull out all the way. This box is going to be box of month in april and really thinking of trading in.

I fall into the KRL category. Plus I like how the KRL still has the "Tough Master Tech Tool Box" look to it. The Epic does not do it for me.

OK, Looks pretty cool. I just couldn't find it on the site. I stand corrected. It's purdiful for sure. Barbie and Ken would make out like monkeys in that thing. The drawers look like the came right out of a macsimizer. Do you lift the handle to unlatch like a griplatch? I haven't seen one up close and personal.

though I do love my KRL722 those Epiq's are some **** toolboxes. I've never seen one in person and i hope I never do out of fear of draining my bank account!!!

Yes,

The grip latch type of system is what the Epic uses (the plastic rail is behind the handle but lifts like a grip latch instead of sideways like a KRL). After using the locks on my KRL for so long, I doubt that I would like the new ones. Not to mention the fact that most people that are in my garage don't know how to open a KRL and assume you have it locked which is fine by me. I would hate to beat a neighbor over a "borrowed" tool...

Man if I were you I would keep what I have. Is it paid for? Maybe trade in the locker and hutch for a top box, or sell the locker and hutch outright and buy a top box. I have looked at and played with an EPIQ and quite frankly I prefer the KRL series.

I can't believe there weren't people everywhere either, it was a madhouse with everyone around the box and cart area every time I went by there. I still think using the back of those boxes as a video screen was a neat idea.

Obviously someone who has never owned a KRL. Typical reaction from someone who feels the need to justify their purchace. Please post photos when you get 8000 lbs of tools in your Epiq. I'm not knocking the Epiq but to beat on the KRL is just crazy. A KRL1023 has a 6800 lb load rating. The Epiq has a 8000 lb load rating. Let me now when you have enough tools to overload either one. Lets see what you do have

That box is sweet.
I started drooling over the epiq the first time I saw one. I think they are real nice. Haven't had more than a few minutes to play with the drawers though.
I recently bought a hardly used krl and couldn't be happier. It is still one of the finest boxes out there and I still have 7000 in my pocket.
Just wish they offered the krl in midnight blue.

There was no price tag on the box. It was setup to play projection screen videos on the back, and also was there for more of a "wow factor". I never actually took the time to price out each piece individually.

I have an Epiq. I like it but would be just as happy with something like a 1023. I think I'm the kind of person that always wants what I don't have. Other people love my box but at sometimes when I open someones lock'n'roll box I like it better.

I had an Epic sent to my house, I was going to do a trade for my KRL1023, with the hutch, locker and stainless top. I hated the Epic. The shallow drawers are a full 1/8" shorter, making sockets in plastic tray rub the drawer above. Also, the wheels look cheaper to me. Anyway thats my 2 cents on that.
I still am looking to do another deal on a KRL. My box is big, but I need more storage, I found that the hutch is nice, but I need more tool storage.
