The school I teach at has a Snap-On EELD100A smoke machine. It looks like it has never been used. I am looking for a manual. I can't seem to get the right Google search. Does anyone have a source?

I am borrowing it this weekend.

Guess it's too old for the snap on manuals section.
I'm sure snap on didn't make it themselves, if you can find one that looks like it from a different manufactuer you might be able to find the manual that way.

It's pretty simple to use, air in the top, they called for 120psi but we used them at 160 psi no issues.
hook up to the 12v battery, the switch on the front is for flow control usually used it on full.
The ball floats in the sight glass top is full flow, bottom is no flow.
Uses mineral oil.

What are you looking for a leak in EVAP or intake?

Sudden rough idle. NOT A MECHANIC (math teacher). I fear that it is the timing chain issue that 4.0L SOHC engines are known for. Just hoping to rule out vacuum leak, EGR leak, etc. 2004 Explorer with only 160K. No rust, great interior, etc.

Cleared the codes and the first ones that came back were rich/lean issues.

I am also considering that the issue might be O2 sensors.

When we first bought it =, Ford said it needed timing chain (rear) and quoted us $7000. We only paid $2500.

We got roasted a few years ago about trying to put a bandaid to get our son through college. It ran great (some low idle roughness) for the last 2 years, Now it is rough when cold. Only been having the issues for about 1 week. Seems to get better as you drive.

Isn't that unit made by CPS?

I think this manual will probably help out.

4.0l ? Chain issues usually come noise issues too.
What codes were in it?
Do you have a scan tool with data?
If yes what are the fuel trims(short term/Long term) for both banks at idle, and again at 2500 rpm?
What is the Mass air flow reading at Idle?
Lastly Coolant temp, should be outside air temp cold and 190-210f hot.
