Is this a real Snap on?
Any expert know the date made?
Assuming it is real, is it worth US$60?

Yes it is snap on but I would not pay $60.00 for it!! I'd say it is from 1965 - 1985, there is a 5 between the ON-Off by the selector!!

Do you know the year of manufacture?

It's hard to see the five on the selector, but my guess based on the design (and unless they brought that design back at some point) is 1935.

I'm no expert, but that style was long gone in favor of round handles by WWII AFAIK.

The date code is 1972. Many times these are stamped upside down on rats. Also this is a military rat.

i concur with snapmom... 1972.... the date code is the marking that looks like a 5 between the on and off selector

look at this chart

i also agree with others... 15-30 max

Snapmom to the rescue again. I also thought it was 1935 but didn't think the rat looked right for that era.

$60 is way too much.
