Hi,

I've searched for answers on this subject but numerous threads never really got anywhere.

I have a chance to buy a black roll cab on the cheap.

My current boxes are black with green drawers and I'd prefer if I could get it all to match.

So my question is can the extreme green colour be matched/bought ?

I've read that it can't and can, that SO only can make it but don't sell it.

I can either get the drawers painted or powder coated for free so it's really just about getting the paint.

Both the painter and powder coated said to me get the paint code and they can do it. But again I've read this is not possible.

Thanks.

Hey,

Thanks for the replies.

The touch up spray cans don't appear to be available in the UK.

I did say to the powder coater about the PPG code and he said he doesn't use that but some other codes :headscrat

Probably PCU-40124 then.

Just FYI, as with any paint thing... trying to match it perfectly is probably not going to happen. If they are all next to each other, you may or may not notice.

Thanks for the info guys.

Next brain teaser.

The little chrome strips that run along the front of the drawer bottom lips.

Can you buy them ?

I can't for the life of me find them on the website.

I can see the corner and drawer gaurds etc but not the little strips.

Christ who'd have thought paint was such a hassle

Spoke to the powder coater.

The PPG code and Powder coat code are both useless to him.

He works off RAL codes, don't appear to be any conversion charts for ppg to RAL.

He said two options, he can try and match it manually but he said Kawasaki green looked very similar.

Or i could get some powder the correct colour and he will use it.

I've searched for PPG suppliers and found plenty of sites but none that will actually supply me paint/powder ?

The small metal box on top of my big box was powder coated with a RAL color. That's about as close as they can get it to the extreme green. That's going to be a hard color to match up if you want it perfect.

Thanks for the pic too off the Color match. That is close but you can see a slight difference.

Hi

Thought I would share this, I've had a few paint matches done and these are the closest so far.
