So I just scored this speeder for a few bucks at an outdoor flea market. I was looking into SO date codes, but this particular one doesn't seem to match any that I see on charts. As an F 4 D, it should supposedly have a build date between 1942 and 1946, according to this website.
Anyway, here's a pic of the stamping and what I believe is the "1" date code on it.
Is this indeed from 1941? or some other year?
