Im trying to restore this snap-on f723 but I need a new gear and one screw that goes in from the back side and holds the front plate.

Anyone know where I can get these parts?

Also what year was this ratchet made?

It's looking like they got your screws but not the pawl or the gear. Incidentally, if you do find a gear, make sure you get the matching pawl. On those older ratchets, Snap-on upgraded from a 20 tooth to a 30 tooth service kit and the gears and pawls have to match. Check eBay for NOS service kits.

The date code should be right by the lever between OFF and ON.

Look for the date code on the handle in between the grooves. They put it there sometimes. You might have to get the whole ratchet replaced if there's no more parts for it.

other then F723 the only other info on the handle is "PAT. NO. 3713356"

thats all....

if thats a whole kit referring to the links above i dont need it. just a gear and one screw.

Order the special service tool while you're at it; you'll be glad you did.

I just rebuilt one of these last month. The rebuild kit has new screws, seals, gear, pawl, and updated spring and ball.

my is stamped with the letter "E" on it. does that mean anything? does the kit work for all F723 models?

You need to use a punch. The repair kit will include a new reverse lever and pawl. It's pretty much one time use.

Some of these are 20 tooth while others are 30. Not sure which ones I have but I should have both. As far as new goes it would be new to you

I found my paper from my rebuild kit, my F723 ratchet used the RKRAF723 rebuild kit. Pretty sure it has 30 teeth in it now too. Thats the kit you need.

The tool makes the job easier, but be used a pocket screwdriver to repair ratchets with the BB as well. Just throw a dab of grease on the driver tip and stick the ball, it's thin enough to slide out after you have the pawl and gear in. That tool makes your life tons easier though.

The tool saves you from a ton of frustration. It's worth 10 times the listed price for me so I bought 10 of them.

If the E is stamped on the handle portion of the ratchet than that was a exchange ratchet.
Years ago Snap-On had a ratchet exchange program.

lube comes with the repair kit, no need to go out and buy extra... unless you want to lube your other ratchets as well.
