Ok I have read many of these threads and I am finally going to ask, USA stamp or no USA stamp, is there a change for the bad in any of the tools? Are they any lesser quality then in the past?

When I first heard of snap-on tools I had no idea where they were made all I new was they were of a reputation for putting out a high quality product, Yes the tools I have still have the USA stamp but if they did not and the quality was the same I wouldn't take long to get over it.

My dad has never ever ever been a big spender on tools but he beat it into me that how it feels in your hand is important when buying tools and I will say that I prefer the design look and feel of snap-on over most knowingly chinese brands out there.

I had never owned a snap-on wrench before but got myself a single CAT branded wrench to get a feel of it before I go buying any sets so as to compare it to my stahlwilles, my dad was impressed by how it felt in his hand and so was I.

I can't be picky though tools arent made down here in New Zealand so everything is foreign made to me.

I am still failing to see this huge stigma against snap-on and whats up with this vendeta to try and find any link the company has to china. Are people just that upset about the price that they have to find something to complain about with the brand.

I am sure some people could be given a tour of an american snap-on factory and still try and convince everyone theres a link to china.

Think of it like this....Snap-on is like the Yankees. You either love them or you hate them.
