When I first saw it this morning there were 5 available...I couldn't get it out of my head so I went back and looked again a couple hours later and there were 4...then I bought one, and that left 3. Now there are 2. Going fast

If and when you need a rebuild call Snap On's 800 number, tell them it's skipping. They'll send you a rebuild kit no problem

What's the preference between the regular dual80 models and the quick release versions. I really like having quick release sometimes. Rarely see snap on guys with the qr versions however.

I like the quick release function too, but sometimes quick release adds a little bulkiness at the head. In constraint areas, a qr-less function can be useful at times.

Out of all my new Snapon ratchets, I really find the S series to be the smoothest. I like them all though. I know this isn't the ratchet being discussed in this thread but I also purchased the 1/4 and 3/8 drive Snapon roto ratchets recently, and they live up to the hype on here as well. Handier than I thought.

I'm eyeing for an F80 on several auction sites.

Off-Topic, who determined the adequate tooth-count for ratchets? It seems, most ratchets sold to the DIY'ers are 72-tooth count. What does the future hold as far as tooth count goes?

All the mechanics I use to work with hated quick release ratchets. Maybe that's why Snap-on only has a few of them- they just don't sell? I don't know.

They have to hollow out the drive tang for the quick release, so it probably weakens it. Maybe it's a strength thing

I have a TL72 and a FL80 and really like them both
