Right so here is my story. Last month I bought a new SO box and was told I'd get a SO credit for 400$ direct from SO that I can use through my dealer. So Friday I finally get it.. I was happy because well 400$ is 400$ of tools.. I examined the credit and noted that it had a Saturday expiration date !!! and it was post marked May 20th 2012 sent from WI to Montreal Quebec Canada.

I sent my dealer an email telling him that I got it and expect it to be valid.. I'll give him a call tomorrow and keep you guys updated. I really don't see them giving me too much hassle with cashing it but it would have been nice to receive it earlier

Snap on credit issues those and are pretty strict about redeeming them on time. What I routinely did when one of my customers got one was sell them anything off the truck at the gift cert price. Then I'd be able to get the credit and the customer would exchange it for what he really wanted when he saw it.

That would seriously **** if you couldn't redeem it, especially since you didn't receive it until after thr exp. date. But give it a chance and keep us updated on what happens.

Those forms are mailed out by SOC and your dealer had nothing to do with when they were mailed.
Take a deep breath and calm down. I am sure that your dealer will get you taken care of. This would not be the first time that an issue such as this has come up.

I'm betting Snap-on will make it right.

When I was a tech, I always thought Snap-on's customer service was the best of the bunch.

I do not know if it is the case with you, but my SO guy years back printed receipts with the decimal amount going to the third digit also. IIRC, had something to do with if you ran finance credit on the truck and how interest was added or subtracted from the balances.

Banks do it all the time in dealing with 1,000th of a dollar but they usually round up or down to their favor and is not transparent to the customer most times.

your dealer can get all the information for you off his computer, and put it in your account.thats how mine did it,they made a mistake on mine, and he got it corrected, and had everything aok with me.

guy i work with lost his, the dealer was able to work it out to the same way,put it on his truck account for him.

My plan was to finance half the amount on my account since i got a preferred rate and collect the credit then collect a bunch of aero plan points by paying off the account with a Visa. However that back fired when SOC doesn't accept visa to pay off the amount... So I was like ughhhhhhg those points would have been nice to add to my recent 20000 I got for free..

Oh yeah my SO guy called and says its fine. The extended it for another 30 days
