Was hoping for bogo on sockets. I never seem to catch those

I no longer have a weekly SO truck but when I did, it seemed like the BOGO deals were only avaiable on the truck. I dont remember them ever being advertised in a monthly flyer. I could be wrong but thats how I remember it. And even then, the BOGO deals were hard to get if your location was near the end of your SO driver's route.

I actually got one from SO online once, it was buy the torx sockets and get two ratchets free. That was when they couldn't get rid of the ratchets without the USA stamp lol

This flyer is awful. It's like $3 off a $75 item and all they are doing is trying to advertise high profit items like the $50 claw hammer and tool boxes.

Agreed. Meh...a few bucks off here and there, I'll pass...

Now if they did a 40% off like SK, I'd be all over it!

It looked to me like it was in the ballpark of 10% off list for many of the items.

Yeah, that's about what I saw too. Still, $4-$5 off $50 pliers? Better than nothing, but not enough incentive for me personally...

There are different programs the dealer has to sign up for. So what might appear in the catalog might not be a program he subscribed too.

My driver gave me a better deal than the flyer. I got the claw hammer before the flyer for $28.

That's the sucky thing for those of use without dealers. We either take the 10% off or buy used. I picked up the pick set.

They had bogos on sockets a few months ago...but most of the time, they're semi-deeps.

I had been holding out for a socket bogo too, and last week I mentioned this to my dealer. He had a special on the 1/4" metric deep socket set I wanted for darn close to half price. Wait over. Monthly specials vary by region. My dealer generally participates in anything they'll let him. He likes to deal, especially for cash.

FWIW, SO always puts their "Dads and Grads" flyer online, usually around June 1, and their holiday flyer up around Thanksgiving. Sometimes you can get monthly flyer prices online too, usually 10% off. You will always get better pricing from a truck you have a history with though.

How are the high visibility items under a black light? Super vivid?

I do not believe they are intended to fluoresce. I just ordered one of the SSDMR4BHV high visibility hard handle ratcheting screwdrivers. Should be here on Thursday. Should be interesting to see what I receive, I have seen two photos - one that is all high vis yellow with a black shaft and one that is high vis yellow with black end caps and black shaft.

The flyers don't give you any big discounts anyways. If you're serious about saving money, you go look up your non tool truck options before you even hop on the truck.
