Snap-On FHF80 or FH80?

I am thinking on getting a Snap-On FHF80. I was wondering, are there times when the FH 80 would work better? I currently only use my long flex head ratchets when I need clearance.

Besides flex vs non-flex, have you considered soft handle vs non-handle?

I found that Snap On soft handle adds quite a bit bulk. I think soft handle might be better suited for long ratchets, instead of standard length.

If it was me, I'd spend the SO money only on my most used ratchet size and shape, flex or not, etc....

If your a guy who rarely uses the flex head, then buy a gear wrench or Williams flex head and save some cash to buy snap on sockets or something...

Just my 2cents

+1 on this advice ^^^

My Fl80 is my most used ratchet that said I own quite a few flex heads, but they are just not my preference unless I need the space. I also like chrome handles, but that again is personal not much to do with functionality, at times though flex is the only option. Being that you already have a F80 non flex get a long flex to cover more basis. fhlf80 or flf80 would be a excellent choice.

I think the new 18” fllf80 is a bit overkill for an reg use ratchet. Build up a set of good basic ratchets before purchasing the oddball sizes see what you like and buy them as you go...

I have pretty much all of the Snap-On sockets that I will ever need along with a lot of other older Snap-On ratchets. Last week, I used a Snap-On 18" 3/8 breaker bar w/ the soft handle for the first time (gift from last year) and a F936A w/ soft handle (that I never used because I got a F80 around the same time). I kind of liked the soft grip. That got me thinking about either a FH80 or FHF80.

There's really not much point in having both an F80 and an FH80; they both do the same thing. Being that you already have an F80, the next natural choice would be to get an FLF80 since it also has the steel handle.

If you get an FHF80, you're going to need an FH80 to match it and that leaves the F80 all by itself; you probably won't use the F80 much after that.

Can't dispute your way of thinking on this question.

Ironclad logic here.
