I'm wondering if snap on makes a ratchet that's the size of the FHLL80 in a flex head comfort grip version (equivalent to the THLLF72 1/4" drive)? Not having any luck on the snap on site and my dealer looked at me puzzled.

I really like the size, but I would need to have it in a flex head because I like the additional versatility it adds.

Are you looking for a ff80 snap on go to web site check the online digital catalog around page 130-140 will show the 3/8 ratchets. I did this today as I want a ff80 but can't find it for sale on the snap on web site even though they make the product

The FF80 can be found on the Snap On site. Sometimes you have to put in the model number in the search. Basically, Snap On's site ***** and lots of items are not in the categories they should be or are listed as 'non-catalog items' with hardly any info about them at all.

3/8IN SHORT HANDLE FLEX - Item: FF80A
https://store.snapon.com/Non-Catalog-Items-3-8IN-SHORT-HANDLE-FLEX-P9803511.aspx

That said, the FF80 is an 8" long 3/8"dr flex chrome handle ratchet. The OP was looking for "a [3/8"] ratchet that's the size of the FHLL80 in a flex head comfort grip version", and the FHLL80 is a 3/8dr non-flex that's 17-1/2" long, so he's looking for a really long handle 3/8" flex with a soft grip like it. Unfortunately Snap On doesn't make anything like that yet.

Snap On does have a really long handle 1/4" dr flex comfort grip (THLLF72) (I think it's 14" long iirc - not a lot of info about it on snap-on's site yet but can be seen in video here) and a 26" long handle 1/2" dr flex with comfort grip (SHLF80), so it's not so surprising people would want a 3/8"dr one also.

i see i was not fully understanding the op question..... but if he went to the catalog he can see the picture of all the 3/8 drive ratchets available to see if what he was looking for is even in production.

now i am actually looking for a ff80 not a ff80a its like 3/4 inch shorter and a standard metal handle.

dose any one notice how snap on find a dealer has a questionare and wants your life details so that they can contact you for them to make a sale... *****
any one in the south east texas area know a snap on dealers number? have to take family to the houston air port and we dont have a snap on guy here so might as well find one on the way between Louisiana and houston

FF80A is a the current FF80 with some small revision, but it's not 3/4" shorter. It's still 8" and has "a standard metal handle". It's essentially the same as the F80 (which is 7-7/8") just with a flex head.

Whatever the change is between the FF80 and the FF80A is I'm not sure, perhaps someone else here does know, but it's not apparent to my eyes. I think maybe they made some small improvement to the flex bolt but I'm just guessing because it looks to me like most if not all of their dual 80 flex models got an 'A' added to their model names about the same time but so did some non-flex models too so I dunno. If Snap On made an apparent change like shortened a model 3/4" it would have a completely different model number, not a revision change letter after it.

The 'a' is a revision of the same length and handle style. :dunno:

edit: WWheeler beat me to it.
