Anyone using one of these? I make poor financial decisions and "bought" one off of the truck today.

Didn't realize until I got back to my toolbox that it's the same length as the 1/2" SO flex head I got a while back. I have been using a Mastercraft flex head/telescoping 3/8" ratchet for years and wanted something about as long as it could get, without the telescoping and flex head and better quality and this is all of those things.

No drain plug is safe.

How often do you use yours and what do you use it for?

I found mine useful doing engine accessory stuff like pulleys, alts, etc. Thin to fit, length for leverage and access. I did not get the soft handle though, plain old thin metal.

I bought mine along with the 1/4" version, got them both in green. Had to wait for the 1/4" for a few weeks. They do look nice next to all the other ratchets.

I use it all the time. Yes, when it fits I use it for belts (not so handy for Honda belts because there's not a lot of clearance). But I use it even more for times requiring leverage in a 3/8" drive.

All the time I want the 1/4 to complete my set. They're useful on modular engine work

Have the 3/8" and it's useful enough to keep. O2 sensors, lower bolts on the front of motors. Had the 1/4" for a year or so and it never got used. Traded it back in. Don't own any cushion handles either.

Kinda like you, I too have a FLL80 (standard handle) along with the SHF80A (17 1/2 inch flex) and the FLL80's become my default leverage ratchet since. If I needed longer, I do have the extra long 1/2 (SHRLF80A) but that's extremely rare. I also stopped using the FLF80 and F80 as well.

Actually, I sold my SHF80A recently just because I don't see myself ever using that again as long I have the other two.

Though I do have the round swivel 3/8 drive unit in a compact 1/4 sized body (FHCNF72) as the primary ratchet for when I don't need the leverage.
